Sweet „proja“:

320g flour

90g fine corn flour

180g yellow sugar

100g honey

25g baking powder

Pinch of salt

410g liquid yogurt

3 eggs

a few tablespoons of rose liqueur

200g olive oil

Sift both flours and leave aside. Combine sugar, honey, baking powder, salt, yogurt, eggs, liqueur and oil, mix well until combined. Add flour and stir gently until the liquid mixture absorbs the flour. Pour in the baking tray, sprinkle with a bit of corn flour and bake at 180 degrees for about 20-25 minutes. Cool before use.


Basa cheese cream:

400g basa cheese

200g mileram

150 g condensed milk

50 g vanilla sugar

Pinch of salt

200g whipped cream

Mix all the ingredients in the blender. Pour it through fine mesh strainer and leave in the fridge until chilled. Before using, mix with a stand mixer.



Chop the strawberries and mix them with a little rose liqueur. If the strawberries are not sweet enough then add some sugar. Leave on the side until they release the juice.

You can dry the rose petals more quickly in the microwave. Sort them in one layer on a plate and put it in a microwave for 30 seconds. Turn the other side and cook for 30 more seconds. Repeat this for about 2-3 minutes until the petals have fully dried.  Tear one piece of „proja“ and put it in a deeper plate. Put strawberries on the top with some strawberry juice and finish with basa cream and crushed rose petals.
