Miro Uskokovic grew up on a family farm in Serbia learning to bake from watching his parents. After attending a hospitality college, Miro moved to American to pursue a career in hospitality, working with a local pastry chef in Greentown, Indiana. Miro then enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America.
While completing his externship at Wallse, he met Johnny Iuzzini who offered him the chance to intern at Jean Georges where he became Pastry Sous Chef. After his time at Jean Georges, Miro was named the Pastry Chef of Aldea, Chef George Mendes’ Flatiron restaurant.
In the fall of 2013, Miro became the Pastry Chef of Gramercy Tavern. In spring 2015 Miro was also named the Pastry Chef of the new Untitled restaurant at Whitney Museum. Miro's work was recognized by Dessert Professional who named him one of the Top Ten Pastry Chefs in North America in 2015.
