Becoming chefs was their destiny. Born in Vercelli, the Costardi brothers continued what was already there. They were brought up in a family hotel which was named after their mother - Hotel Cinzia.
Christian, the eldest brother, received the position of the second chef at the Hotel Regina in Venice at the age of 21. After two years of intense work, study and dedication, he decided to return to Vercelli, in the family hotel. From that day the kitchen stands out with its creativity, special attention to the terroir and raw materials. They have 25 different kinds of risotto on their menu, some purely traditional with typical flavors for the area, and others are daring, modern and creative. All amazing, of course. Their love for the kitchen is intact and even Manuel perfects his studies doing two internships at the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan under the guidance of Sergio Mei where he learned how to mix both tradition and innovation.
The kitchen of the Costardi brothers begins to take shape and they get the first prizes. The Michelin star and the Youth award of the Year for the Espresso Guide (award Cavit) won in 2009 are only the beginning. 2011 is the year that Christian and Manuel are called upon to represent the Italian cuisine on the Cube by Electrolux, the traveling event that showcases the best Italian chefs.
